Popped in to watch football in TNT Sports (they also have Sky Sports). Despite being an Arsenal fan (!) the manager was very welcoming to me, as were the locals. Lovely little pub on the platform - ..

Lovely view of the surrounding countryside & steam engines. Great spot for a relaxing lunch/ afternoon tea or just a coffee/beer.

Usually call in here if time allows waiting for the next train for a drink. Its got a well stocked bar and a small beer garden out back, toilets etc, in fact everything you'd expect to find in the av.
