Exeter is a city in Tulare County, California, United States. It is situated in the San Joaquin Valley near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The population was 10,321 at the 2020 census, down from 10,334 at the 2010 census. Exeter is located on State Highway 65, 2 miles south of Highway 198 and 15 miles east of Highway 99.
