Texas A&M University – Texarkana, also known as A&M-Texarkana, is a public university located in Texarkana, Texas, United States. It is one of the newest members of The Texas A&M University System. It also has the smallest student body out of the 11 universities within the A&M System and also the smallest public university in the state of Texas. A&M-Texarkana was first established as an upper-level center of Commerce, Texas based East Texas State University in 1971.
