Carrollton is a city located in western Georgia, United States. It resides in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 24,388. The city is the county seat of Carroll County. Historically, Carrollton has been a commercial center for Carroll County and many other counties in Georgia and Alabama. It is the home of the University of West Georgia.
