Bolongo is a settlement on the island of Saint Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. Bolongo is also a dialect of the Mongo, a Bantu language from Africa. Bantu-speaking people were taken to the new world during the slave trade, and is a large part of Afro-Brazilian History.
