Maywood is a borough in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 10,080, an increase of 525 from the 2010 census count of 9,555, which in turn reflected an increase of 32 from the 9,523 counted in the 2000 census. Maywood was incorporated as a borough on June 29, 1894, from portions of Midland Township, based on the results of a referendum held that day.
