The General Store is located in the heart of Palmetto Dunes Resort within walking distance to the beach, tennis & pickleball center and the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. It's been a “Hilton Head Institution” since 1979 with multiple awards including Best General Store and Best Fried Chicken in Hilton Head.

I stopped into the General Store on October 20th, while staying at a nearby resort. The General Store was really cute and carried alot of items you may need while staying in the area. To my surprise t
All you would need and great quality tee shirts, mugs and more for souvenirs. They sell boogie boards and swim needs. They even have food and is a favorite for kids to bike to for ice cream.
Overall it's a nice store and most of the food is good except for the sides. I'm going to say this as nice a possible. Please, please ease up on the garlic! The green beans and collards are inedible.
