Clifton’s Cafeteria in Downtown LA has more eccentric places to drink than a New Orleans bar crawl. Across the three floors, you’ll find an enchanted redwood forest, a speakeasy and music venue, and a 19th-century dance hall. The crown jewel, though, is Pacific Seas. This top-floor tiki bar has different seating areas, multiple hidden passageways, and a speedboat in the middle of the room. In other words, bring friends and plan to stay for a few rounds. The cocktail menu goes far beyond traditional mainstays—we love the rum-based Vesuvius Negronia and the Fujiyama Daiquiri with lemongrass-infused shochu.
