Cardwell is a census-designated place in Jefferson County, Montana, United States. The population was 62 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Helena Micropolitan Statistical Area. The town was named for area rancher and state senator Edward Cardwell. It is home to the annual Headwaters Country Jam music festival.
