Not to be confused with Cattleman’s near El Paso, this nearly 80 year-old Fort Worth institution feels right at home in the heart of the Stockyards. Even after being purchased by the creators of Yellowstone, the spirit of the place hasn’t changed much, beyond the addition of a members-only club and a light polish around the edges. It still feels like a wealthy cattle baron’s private lounge, and the steaks still arrive on sizzling cast-iron platters. And while the beef here isn’t the most buttery or delicate, there’s a rugged charm to it all that feels appropriate when the twice-daily cattle drive rolls past the front door.
