Shilla is an Annandale OG. This bakery has been around since 1999, and despite the rise of new competitors, its loyal customers keep coming back for pan-Asian treats like mini bam manju, twist donuts, and green tea chiffon cakes. Every regular has their favorite pastry, and that includes us—we never leave without a mochi donut. They’re the best thing on the menu: fluffy, stuffed with sweet milk cream, and so deliciously sweet that even traffic on I-395 doesn’t seem so bad after a bite. The space itself is pretty small, so stick to takeout. You'll want a little treat after navigating the endless sea of brake lights on the way home, anyway.
