Stanwood is a village in Mecosta County of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 194 at the 2020 census. The village is within Mecosta Township. Stanwood holds the record for the hottest recorded temperature in the state of Michigan along with Mio when it reached 112 °F on July 13, 1936.
