About

The third Arlo hotel joins its SoHo and NoMad siblings, and stakes out its own territory on the west side of Manhattan, in one of New York City’s busiest neighborhoods. Arlo Midtown’s Garment District location places it between Times Square and the newly redeveloped Hudson Yards, not far from Penn Station and the Lincoln Tunnel. But thanks to its luxe comforts — and elegant contemporary interiors by Meyer Davis — its rooms and suites are something of a refuge from the chaos of the city. The style is contemporary, modernist-influenced but not retro; wood, leather, marble, and tile give the surfaces plenty of texture. Arlo Midtown’s common places, meanwhile, keep you connected to the city — today’s boutique hotels, especially in New York, place as much emphasis on their social spaces as they do on their guest rooms. The restaurant Altair is accompanied by a bar and lounge, a café, and a rooftop bar whose garden setting overlooks the West Side from 26 floors up. Meanwhile the Atrium Lounge is an all-day space that handles co-working and informal meetings by day and transforms into a cocktail lounge by night.
