Cascilla is an unincorporated rural hamlet located in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Cascilla is approximately 7 miles southeast of Paynes and approximately 6 miles south of Charleston, at the intersection of Cascilla Road and Smith Road. There is a general store and post office along with several homes in the community. Jamie L. Whitten, the second-longest serving U.S. Representative and the fifth-longest serving member of the U.S. Congress, was born in Cascilla.
