Springville is a census-designated place in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 967 at the 2020 census, up from 934 at the 2010 census. The original name of the town was “Daunt”, after William Daunt, a settler who opened the first store in the town in 1860. The name was changed to “Springville” in January, 1911, in reference to the soda springs found in the area.
