Finding a quality sushi restaurant for a big group—even in the Valley—can feel impossible. It’s because most strip mall spots tend to be quaint hole-in-the-walls. Not So Sushi. This Tarzana spot nails the group meal trifecta: a large remodeled space that easily fits parties of six (or eight when two more coworkers inevitably show up), a catch-all menu of specialty rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and fried appetizers, and very reasonable prices. In typical Valley sushi fashion, you’ll be treated to a pretty cheesy playlist (Corinne Bailey Rae popped up during a recent meal), but that’s part of the strip mall charm. And so is walking away with your entire group happy.
