Cavareno is a comune in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 50 kilometres north of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 940 and an area of 9.7 square kilometres. Cavareno borders the following municipalities: Amblar, Romeno, Ruffré-Mendola, Sarnonico, and Kaltern. The village is situated on a high plateau at an elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by meadows and woods. Cavareno is a popular holiday destination.
