Hachinohe is a city in southeastern Aomori Prefecture in the Tōhoku region of northern Japan. As of 28 February 2017, the city had an estimated population of 229,527 and a population density of 756 persons per km in 107,598 households This makes it the second biggest city of Aomori prefecture. The total area was 305.54 square kilometres.
