Olszyna is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzebiel, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border. It is the site of a major border crossing on the E36 motorway connecting Berlin, Germany with Wrocław and Kraków in Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres north-west of Trzebiel, 26 km west of Żary, and 61 km south-west of Zielona Góra. Since the Middle Ages, the village was at various times part of Poland, Bohemia and Saxony.
