Carneys Point is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located within Carneys Point Township, in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 7,382. The first European settlers in the area were a group of Irish immigrants who came in 1727, which included Thomas Carney.
