薑科園區為台北植物園內二十多個展示區中的其中一個，靠近和平西路出入口處，展示與大眾生活息息相關的薑科植物。因造訪期間非花季，所以無緣見到綻放中的美麗花朵，不過仍能藉由說明牌對其有初步認識。可安排薑科植物花朵盛開的夏季前來參觀。
