Moundville is a town in Hale and Tuscaloosa counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. At the 2020 census the population was 3,024. It is part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area. Within the town is Moundville Archaeological Site, the location of a prehistoric Mississippian culture political and ceremonial center.
