Such a fun little walkabout located at Volcano National Park. Parking is kind of limited so get there early. Cavern/lava tube is lit on the inside but not by much. Surrounded in lush green terrain.

We enjoyed the Thurston Lava Tube because it was raining and many of the people were discouraged because the ground was slippery and wet. We enjoy the walk down and thru the dark tube, illuminated by

Creepy and amazing all at the same time. The ramps to the tube are very steep and wet so be careful. There is railing so that you can hold while walking down. They do have lighting in the tube however
