Pikangikum is an Indigenous governing body, designated as a First Nation by the Government of Canada. Pikangikum reserve lands currently include Pikangikum 14. The territory’s borders don't necessarily represent the traditional lands of the Pikangikum as many Nations were forcibly relocated and their lands taken. Pikangikum is signatory to Treaty #5 in 1875.
