Northwest Harbor is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 3,317 at the 2010 census. It is named for the bay on the South Fork of Long Island connecting Sag Harbor, Shelter Island and the town of East Hampton to Gardiners Bay and the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The bay derives its name from being northwest of East Hampton village.
