East Rutherford is a borough in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is an inner-ring suburb of New York City, located 7 miles west of Midtown Manhattan. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 10,022, an increase of 1,109 from the 2010 census count of 8,913, which in turn reflected an increase of 197 from the 8,716 counted in the 2000 census.
