Chía is a city and municipality in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia, located 10 km north of Bogotá on the main road to Zipaquira. Due to its proximity to Bogotá, Chía has effectively become a suburb of the capital. Its history dates back to the pre-Columbian era. Chia is also known for its gastronomy and its variety of restaurants. It's also home of the Universidad de la Sabana one of the most prestigious in the country.
