Devils Postpile National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located near Mammoth Mountain in Eastern California. The monument protects Devils Postpile, an unusual rock formation of columnar basalt, "all closely and perfectly fitted together like a vast mosaic." The monument encompasses 798 acres and includes two main attractions: the Devils Postpile formation and Rainbow Falls, a waterfall on the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River.

The hike to this place was very easy to get to. If you continue on the trail, you can get to rainbow falls, I think it's about a 5 mile hike but totally worth it. Make sure to take plenty of water and

This is such a majestical and curious place! Nature is the coolest, and this place tests one's understanding of rock formations! Great facilities and decent parking. Theres alot of neat things to see
