If the prospect of sitting through three hours of Don Giovanni or Paw Patrol Live is making you feel, well, the opposite of cheerfully bursting into song, fill up on liquids and small plates at Leo inside the Kimmel Center. The Mediterranean spot offers a $45 per person pre-theater menu and an à la carte menu featuring solid salted baked beets and grilled shrimp in a flavorful coconut kosho, as well as a rye gramigna pasta with a spicy pesto that’s large enough for two. But where Leo really shines is its beverage menu. Whether it’s a nicely balanced old-fashioned or a sparkling rosé, you can take your drink in a to-go cup and bring it to any of the nearby theaters. The staff here is always watching the clock, so there’s no way you’ll miss your show, even if you hang around a little too long for another beer before tune up.
