Subway in SJC is good. This is not a gourmet sandwich shop but Subway is not advertised as gourmet. Staff is always great.

I walked in to get a sandwich and there was nobody at the counter. I could hear employees carrying on in the back room but did not get any response the 15 minutes I stood there waiting. I guess it's a
