The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into Slope Room is a massive photo of a bear bellying up to a bar. The whole western-mountain-contemporary aesthetic of the image is similar to the vibe of the restaurant, except you probably won’t run into any grizzlies here. Slide into an indigo velvet booth and order a center-cut filet with Yukon Gold puree alongside a ramekin of whiskey au poivre sauce. Or post up at the bar, where a plate of heirloom cornbread, a Hamachi crudo starter, and a Japanese whiskey cocktail can make for an especially cozy après scene.
