Assiniboine Park Zoo is a Canadian zoo facility in the west end of Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Established in 1904, Assiniboine Park Zoo is managed by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy and holds accreditation from both the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. With a land area of 80 acres, the zoo was known for its polar bear exhibit, which was replaced by the Journey to Churchill in 2013.

A wonderful zoo… a wonderful park actually… staff very courteous and knowledgeable… polar bears are phenomenal… great visit combined with a trip to Churchill, the tundra and more polar bears.
Yes it was cold and slippery somewhat on the paths, but a short visit was enjoyable. The polar bears stayed at a distance but the wolves kept walking right by the fence and it was fun seeing them so .
