Pallavaram is a southern suburb of Chennai, India. It lies in the district of Chengalpattu, situated within the Chennai Metropolitan Area, Tamil Nadu state. Formerly a Municipality under Alandur taluk, it was bifurcated in August 2015 to form a new taluk. In November 2021, the town was merged with Tambaram City Municipal Corporation.
