Rio do Sul is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in the South region of Brazil. One of the postcards of the city is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Other important buildings are Ponte dos Arcos, a former railway station and German-style buildings. Also in town is the Itajaí-Açu river.
