Aviano is a town and comune in the Regional decentralization entity of Pordenone at the foot of the Dolomites mountain range in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northeast Italy. Aviano is home to the C.R.O., one of the main Italian cancer hospitals and research centres. The Piancavallo ski resort is part of the municipality.
