Balsa Nova is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. It has a population of 13,092 and covers 348.926 square kilometres. Balsa Nova borders the municipalities of Araucária, Campo Largo, Contenda, Lapa, Palmeira and Porto Amazonas, all in the east of the state of Paraná.
