Lajatico is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 kilometres southwest of Florence and about 40 kilometres southeast of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,353 and an area of 72.3 square kilometres. Lajatico sits in mainly hilly terrain at variable elevations from 100 to 650 metres above sea level) and dominates the end of the Valdera valley and the opening of the valley known as Val di Cecina.
