Waikīkī is an Ahupua‘a of Oʻahu. Ahupua‘a are traditional subdivisions of the Hawaiian Islands. Their use can be traced back hundreds of years through oral tradition and practice. Ahupua‘a are a subdivision of Moku. The current State of Hawai‘i uses this system for land management.
