火奴鲁鲁·夏威夷酒吧(HONOLULU HAWAII) 一杯“威士忌酸”的真相 过去一年,我和朋友分别来过这家店和它旁边仅150米远的分店——冒纳罗亚·夏威夷(Maunaloa Hawaii)——各两次。每次都点威士忌酸(Whiskey Sour),有时也会加点别的鸡尾酒。奇怪的是,每次这杯经典调酒都味道发怪、口感稀薄,不像是正常比例的调法。 这次重访,其实是想看看——经历一年之后,这家店是否有改善。老实说,我原本并不想花钱去“验证失望”,但如果真的变好喝了,我当然愿意买单。管理层表示愿意请我喝第一杯。 第一杯上来后,口感依旧偏淡、有点水,但不至于难喝,我也喝完了。想着可能是碎冰在摇制时融化太多,于是我自费点了第二杯,并特意要求用大冰块来摇。结果在摇的过程中,摇壶盖子突然飞开,调酒师被酒洒得满身都是,他面露无奈地解释说:“大冰块其实不能摇。”于是第二杯又是照旧方式调的,味道依然稀薄、奇怪。 我决定再点第三杯,这次用他们菜单上标明的Jim Beam,并亲自示范用大冰块摇制。我摇了大约12秒,证明其实完全可以用大冰块摇,只是他们的刀太钝,切不动那种高品质冷冰。结果第三杯依旧有同样的问题——糖浆没问题,柠檬汁没问题,问题在威士忌。那瓶黑色标签的通用威士忌,以及Jim Beam那瓶酒,味道都同样怪异。 值得一提的是,今晚在场的员工都非常友好、健谈、也乐于沟通,态度可以说是专业又真诚。但遗憾的是,问题显然不在他们,而在管理层。作为客人,我有时愿意花钱花时间去帮店家找出问题,但更令人失望的是管理层的冷漠与不在意。 我之前在冒纳罗亚·夏威夷(Maunaloa Hawaii)写过一篇公开点评,但当时没打出一星,只希望通过建议和较为严肃的语气让他们改进。可惜一年过去,味道依旧,管理依旧不作为。店铺地理位置极佳,人流量大,本可凭口碑长红,却似乎选择了依靠“每天都有新客人”的自然流量,故意降低品质。 店家在回复中表示,他们会对酒品来源及状态进行自查,确保所有产品均来自正规渠道,并进一步确认威士忌本身是否存在问题。从回复的态度来看,店家是认真对待的,这一点值得肯定。 HONOLULU HAWAII Bar The Mystery Behind a “Whiskey Sour” Over the past year, I’ve visited this bar and its neighboring branch — Maunaloa Hawaii — just 150 meters away, twice each. Every time, I ordered a Whiskey Sour — sometimes another cocktail too. Strangely, the drink always tasted off — thin, watery, and unbalanced. This visit started because I wanted to see if things had improved after a year. Honestly, I didn’t want to pay just to confirm disappointment — but I was happy to pay if the drink turned out delicious. Management kindly offered to cover the first one. That first Whiskey Sour was still on the watery side, though not terrible — I finished it. Thinking the problem might just be from the small shaking ice melting too fast, I bought a second drink and asked for it to be shaken with a large ice cube instead. But during shaking, the shaker lid popped off, soaking the bartender. He explained that “the big ice cube can’t be shaken.” So the second drink ended up being built the same as the first — again, thin and strangely off. Determined, I ordered a third — this time using their listed Jim Beam, and shaking it myself with a large ice cube for about 12 seconds to prove it could be done. The only issue was that their knife was too blunt to cut that quality cold ice into smaller pieces. Yet, even then, the result was the same. The sugar syrup was fine, the lemon juice was fine — the problem was clearly the whiskey. Both bottles — the generic black-labeled one and the Jim Beam — had that same strange flavor. To be fair, the staff tonight were excellent — friendly, chatty, and open-minded. They were transparent and genuinely tried to help. The real issue lies with management. I don’t mind spending my time and money to help a bar improve, but it’s frustrating when leadership shows no care or curiosity. My earlier public note was written about Maunaloa Hawaii, not here. Back then, I didn’t give one star, hoping firm and constructive feedback would encourage change. Sadly, nothing has improved. This venue sits in a perfect high-traffic location, yet management seems to rely on new faces every night instead of building trust through consistent quality.
挺有意思的,鸡尾酒颜值颇高,也有啤酒。非常适合小酌微醺,然后非常出片,这种院落式的。挺有风格的,地理位置也好找,落日集市进门左手边第二家就是。他家小哥哥会说对路人说“要喝一杯吗”,很好👌🏻。喜欢这种赶脚的店。
Interesting place to have a cocktail or a draft beer [啤酒] unfortunately there were not many people and they don’t provide any delicious food.
