Dali is a place to rediscover yourself, and here, Ive created a little pause for youa space that reflects 20 years of my thoughts on life and beauty. Designing this courtyard is a dialogue with people, nature, and emotions, blending functionality and aesthetics to meet fundamental needs comfort, peace, and freedom.Nestled at the foot of the Cangshan Mountains near Hilton, this courtyard was crafted over two years with my partner. Every item, plant, and detail reflects our personal warmth and taste. The courtyard exudes Zen simplicity, with tree shadows and light offering a serene rhythm, while the adjacent meditation room provides a sanctuary for introspection, tea, or quiet moments. Beyond, the coffee bar and library invite connection, with a fireplace spreading warmth and calm. The second-floor garden is alive with seasonal greenery, surrounded by guest rooms where windows frame mountains, sea, and clouds. The top-floor room, the soul of the courtyard, offers panoramic views of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, opening the heart and mind. The rooftop garden blooms with vibrant bougainvillea, reminding us of lifes beauty. This space is designed in harmony with nature, embracing sunlight, fresh air, and natural materials to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. South-facing windows maximize light and airflow, while thoughtfully chosen furnishings, like German Lattoflex mattresses, ensure restful sleep. Its a home for the soul, not a trendy destination, where you can pause, reflect, and connect with yourself and the world. The courtyard is also a gateway to Dalis beauty steps from the Gantong Cableway, Jizhao Nunnery, and Boluo Temple, where natures serenity will enchant you. Or explore vibrant local culture at Fengyangyi village or Zuoan Highlands, enjoying fine coffee, pastries, and authentic cuisine. This courtyard offers simplicity, sunlight, and care. Its not perfect, but its mean extension of my philosophy and life. I hope it becomes a warm, reflective stop on your journey, where you reconnect with yourself, nature, and lifes deeper meanings.
