Boathouse should be praised for its long longetivity. They celebrated their 15 years anniversary this year. And this is even more of an exploit when you know it is in Wanghai Lu, one of the most challenging street in Shekou. Only La Maison share the same achievement. To what do they owe their success? A bunch of loyal customers(as Willy’s), having their daily beer, or playing darts, pool, as Boathouse remains a nice sports bar to watch a Formula 1 Grand Prix in a more quiet environment than G&D or Gecko (congrats to Lando Norris yesterday for his first World Championship title). I think Boathouse used to have more regular events compared to now (like live music, often some friends improvising, or mathematics enthusiasts meetings). I’m not a very regular customer events if I had a lot of breakfasts there on weekends, many many years ago, when it was still possible to have tables on the street. We went there for the tribute following the earthquake in Turkey in 2023. For the food, the menu kind of never changed. I find that the food should be slightly cheaper there, even if the portions are generally big. You can find the food you can expect in a sports bar: pizza, lasagna (69rmb), pasta, ham&cheese omelette (69rmb), which I think had bacon i/o ham, quesadillas (beef only), mac & cheese, sandwiches(I had quite a few chicken ones and philly cheese steak, chicken apple salad(89rmb), and some Asian dishes too. Nothing extraordinary. My best surprises finally are desserts : brownie ice cream, or apple crumble(39rmb), even if they could use a better ice cream, milk shake, … One of the thing they did the best is a Christmas log, and it was quite last minute. Good chocolate was used, and it was a good result. Boathouse is an aging place that has the merit to be still in Wanghai Lu after 15 years, so also thanks to a friendly team.

已经是老客户了，每周一几乎都来这家，算是我们的固定食堂。菜品一如既往地稳定和好吃。今天不太饿，就简单点了个沙拉，一起随意吃吃，也挺满足的。

今天陪朋友到这里小歇，听说到了晚上这里特别的热闹，还能碰到许多老外光顾。店里的装修很怀旧。有一种回家的感觉。老板特别的健谈，有亲和力。听说这家的汉堡特别好吃，下次有机会一定要品尝一下。希望下次能在这里感受一下现场的氛围
