始建于清朝乾隆六年(公元1741)年,原址在西单缸瓦市义达里清代定王府更房临街之处。主打砂锅系列,其中砂锅白肉是招牌菜,是目前北京规模最大的主管砂锅菜肴的中华老字号。 砂锅居开业之初叫“和顺居”因当年用一口据传是明代年间的特大砂锅,煮卖上好猪肉,肉之肥不腻美味道极佳。日久人们则以砂锅居代之原名。 概况砂锅居的声誉经久不衰,因采用了宫廷王府烧、燎、白煮等技法而独树一帜 砂锅居的菜肴既有宫廷御膳、王府膳食的细腻,又有北京民间菜肴的质朴,成为北京菜系中官府菜的代表。砂锅居特色菜:砂锅白肉、砂锅三白、砂锅狮子头、九转肥肠、干炸丸子、爆三样、水晶肘、蔬香富贵鸡、宴狮子头等
