Lovers of Today is a very small, casual cocktail bar in a hard-to-find location. You could pass this place every day and never realize it exists, but walk down a set of stairs and you’ll find it (right next to Cabin Down Below). The drinks are good, but it isn’t as uptight as most other cocktail bars, and it’s the perfect place for a quiet drink with a date in the East Village. It’s in a basement, so it’s pretty cozy.
