Happy River is a charming little spot by the river near Bilbao’s market. The place is nicely decorated, the staff are cheerful, and the menu mixes local and Asian flavors with a great vegan selection.

Cheap and cheerful dining experience but not one of Bilbao’s highlights. Nice server and lovely view across the river but not authentic Spanish or Basque dining experience.

It was absolutely fantastic: wonderful, very fresh, very tasty food, very nice and friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, nice view. Great concept, highly recommended.
