It is simply delicious. Each bite is better than the bite before. I contemplated ordering a second order just to take home for later. There are so many seafood offerings. The Lobster Mac and Cheese is classic, as is the Loaded Catfish. Your taste buds will be pleased.

The dish includes jumbo shrimp & turkey sausage, tomatoes, and scallions served atop creamy cheese grits with cajun cream sauce. Just take one bite and you will see why this dish is an award winning dish. It is served with ample shrimp and turkey sausage and is the perfect marriage of cajun spice creaminess.

How does this sound? Two Maryland crab cakes, 5 shrimp, and one side. I usually get 2 pieces of boiled corn. Of course, I add potatoes to my order, because the potatoes complete the dish. The crab cake has so much flavor, sauce, and seasoning. Did I mention the Crab Boss Sauce that’s drizzled all over the crab cakes? It's a butter lover’s dream. This is classic Florida style cajun seafood right here in Maryland.

If you love classic New Orleans style gumbo is filled with shrimp, crab, chicken, & andouille sausage slow cooked in a homemade roux, served over a bed of rice, then you’ll love Creole Soul Restaurant. As expected, the Seafood Gumbo is out of sight. It is rich and spicy. The crab meat is so tender that it takes no effort to remove it from its shell. This gumbo will transport you from Maryland to the French Quarter in just one bite!

Southern Blues is a taste of the South in Maryland. If you’re going to Southern Blues, I recommend the grilled salmon. It’s made with a secret seasoning blend then grilled in a cast iron skillet. It tastes like it’s been smoked with maple wood. While you can select any two sides, I believe this salmon is perfect with a side of string beans, candied yams and cornbread.

Most of the menu at Carolina Kitchen is cooked throughout the day and is served cafeteria style where you order a meat and 2 sides upon arrival. This is a budget friendly option. Lunch meals are only $9.99! When dining in for dinner, you can order from their extensive soul food menu. I recommend the fried whiting or the fried catfish. A cornbread muffin is a must. With melted butter and honey drizzled over the top, you may want to order an extra one. Also, get some sweet tea to wash it all down.
