K-Pop sensation NCT 127 is the Seoul-based team of the NCT family. NCT 127 draws its name from the city's longitude — "127," which reflects their deep connection to this vibrant metropolis. This is the group's list of places they love across Seoul.
LessFrom NCT 127: "Gyeongbokgung Palace is a must-see in Seoul. It’s a palace from the Joseon dynasty where you can experience Korean traditions and beautiful architecture. We were honored to shoot the music video for 'Fact Check' the focus track of our fifth album, there. The music video captures NCT 127’s music and style against the beautiful backdrop of the palace, so be sure to check it out. We hope you enjoy listening to our fifth album and making special memories at Gyeongbokgung Palace."
From Taeil: “Ttukseom Park is one of the places in Seoul where you can enjoy the Han River. It’s a great place to take a walk and feel refreshed. I usually visit when I want to organize my thoughts or relax. I also like to walk along the Han River at night or at dawn. The night view of the river is beautiful, so be sure to stop by! Also, eating ramen or having chicken delivered at Ttukseom Park would be a special experience.”
From Johnny: “The aptly named Seoul Forest is a place where you can feel nature in the heart of Seoul. It’s close to our company, so I often go there when I want to take a walk. Walking through the trees makes me feel like my mind is being cleared. It’s also a great place for a picnic, so I recommend bringing friends and family. And if you have time, you can stop by SM Entertainment nearby and check out NCT 127 on the media wall."
From Haechan: “영천영화 is a place that serves delicious Korean beef and yukhoe [beef tartare]. These are my favorite menu items, so I always think of here when I want to eat them. It’s also where I often go when I want to have a delicious meal with band members. My recommendation is Korean beef, yukhoe, and draft beer. For lunch, the yukhoe bibimbap is also really good and I recommend it!”
From Yuta: “The place I would recommend is the Bugak Skyway. It’s a place to visit when you want to go up in the mountains and see Seoul at a glance. The nature is beautiful and the air is refreshing. I’ve been there both during the day and at night, and both are completely different and have beautiful views. Enjoy the drive along the road and take some photos at the viewing platform!”
From Jungwoo: “I love amusement parks. And when you want to go to an amusement park in Seoul, I recommend Lotte World. The slogan "land of dreams and fantasies’ is apt, and it’s the perfect place to visit when you want to get back to your childhood. Don’t forget to try the churros and bead ice cream. I love the Viking ride, so I highly recommend it. And it would be great to take photos in front of the carousel for happy memories.”
From Mark: “Lotte World Tower is said to be the tallest building in Korea. I love the sky, so when I want to be high up and close to the sky, I think of this place. It’s also a place I have fond memories of visiting with the other members when we were filming NCT World 2.0. We went to the observatory and experienced various activities together, and it was really fun. So I think it would be great to go to the observatory and enjoy the wonderful view of Seoul and the beautiful night!”
From Doyoung: “As some of you may know, I’m a big fan of hamburgers. In particular, I really like McDonald’s. I heard that McDonald’s has a slightly different menu in each city, so I wanted to recommend this place. I also think it’s a great place to visit when you’re craving familiar flavors. My recommendation is the Prosperity Burger, which is my favorite, followed by the Shrimp Beef Burger. Don’t forget the fries and a Coke Zero!”
From Taeyong: “Boramae Park is a place you probably don’t recognize unless you’re a local. It’s a park I used to go to with my family when I was younger, so I wanted to recommend it because it holds a lot of my childhood memories. There’s a pond and the leaves are beautiful in the autumn. Also, they sell pulppang [pancake dumplings], which are very delicious, so you should definitely try them!”
From Yuta: “While filming the trailer at 백마모터스, I discovered a space in Seoul that I hadn’t been to before. I think it would be joyful to walk around Seoul and discover new places. Also, Dongdaemun Market and Dongdaemun Design Plaza are nearby, so it’s a nice place to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Seoul.”
From Doyoung: “Where I shot the trailer is 청계수족관. It was a great place to see a variety of fish. For a different experience in Seoul, visit Cheonggyecheon (Aquarium) Street. I also recommend taking a walk along the Cheonggyecheon stream.”
From Jungwoo: “I recommend the Han River, where we shot the video for ‘Angel Eyes,’ the fourth track of our fifth album. We took a cruise while filming the video, and the cool river breeze and beautiful night view were unforgettable. You should definitely experience a cruise on the Han River! And please enjoy our live performance of ‘Angel Eyes’ in the video.”
From Mark: “I would like to recommend another location, the IFC Mall in Yeouido, where we filmed a music video for ‘Fact Check’ from our fifth album. It was a special experience to shoot a music video in a shopping mall, and I want to recommend this place because the music video is really cool. It would be interesting to compare how the place looks different between our music video and real life.
From Haechan: “Lastly, I would like to recommend 세운상가 in Seoul, where the past and present coexist. I filmed my trailer here. There are many people who sell various electronics and run repair shops with craftsmanship. It’s also a fun place to visit because it’s a mix of food carts (pojangmacha) and trendy cafés.”
From Jaehyun: “I filmed my trailer against the backdrop of the Go Academy. If you want to experience Go in Seoul, I recommend going to 파고다 기원, where I filmed the trailer. It has been featured in several movies and dramas. And there are not many places where you can play Go these days, so it will be a unique experience.”
