Where the ‘Spider-Man’ actor heads with his mates, for a solo steak, and more.
Less“I'm very grateful to them. I just did a run on the West End and was there four or five times a week. I was so grateful for how they looked after me. I had my own table and I would eat at the same table every day. If I’d finished work, I'd go for the dover sole. But I felt like it was slightly insensitive to come on stage with a fishy breath—especially playing Romeo. This might be a little bit out there, but I think they do one of the best steaks in London."
“My brother is a chef so we have all the cookbooks at home and I haven't actually ever opened that one, but I should. I think Zendaya has—I'm pretty sure she cooked something out of there the other day. I love [Ottolenghi] because it feels very unconventional. I love the idea of them having these big open plates and you're taking food from them. It feels like there's no waste there, which I like. It's a really easy lunch spot to grab food from."
“One of my favourite jewellers, Pragnell, is right next door. It’s a lovely family-owned business. So whenever I go to see Charlie, I always pop into Jamavar. It’s one of my absolute favourite restaurants in London. The food is absolutely out of this world. They do this pomegranate mango yoghurt on chicken. It's a dish that I crave when I'm away.”
“This is a place that Cara, my agent and I go to. It’s just a good time. I love Chinese food, it’s one of my favourite cuisines. The wasabi prawns are pretty unreal. They do a pork bao there which I love, and that my brother Sam actually now will cook at home. And his pork bao are actually way better. And you can print that.”
“It’s close to me and it's a perfect date night spot because it means we're not driving into London. But it feels like London has come to Richmond. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever dined in. It’s premium and it's classy but it doesn't feel stuffy in any way. It also feels very clean and fresh. You can go out and have an indulgent meal and not leave feeling like you've, you know, just packed on the pounds.”
“A one stop shop in terms of a night out in London. When it hits that time in the evening, you can order the grilled cheese and the fried chicken in the bar area. When I was training for Uncharted, my character had to be a flair bartender. So back in the day when I was drinking, I used to spend a lot of time at Chiltern and became very close with the bar staff. When it was quieting down, I would go behind the bar, put the white tuxedo jacket on and make drinks for people. It was a good time."
“It's just pure class. I love fish and seafood but I'm always a little hesitant to eat seafood when I'm not by the coast. I know London is so close, but I'll really only order fish from a restaurant if I can see the ocean. But for me, the langoustine that they do there is so delicious. I can't get enough of them.”
“I think we were on the Spider-Man [Far From Home] press tour, or it might have been Spider Man [No Way Home], I can't remember. Cara found it. They do their own little twist on all things traditional and I just love it. They have a little downstairs room which I love. It’s designed a bit like a speakeasy and they do this biryani down there, which is absolutely just heaven on earth.”
“It feels like a London staple. It's a great place to entertain when you have people visiting. It can lift any bad spirit and it’s just so peaceful. I'm having lunch there. That's my time to be there.”
