The space is really nice, too—it’s warming, painted an earth red with fun curtains, and has banquet seating, so the vibe is good! This is a place I will hit up with friends on a night off when I am in the mood to have some fun, eat good food and be in the moment.”

“The place to go for a real authentic local spot in Newtown. There’s always sick bands from the area on, and it’s loud! Delicious burgers and other bites in a rustic venue with a rock-and-roll vibe. If I finish early enough on a show day, this would be my go-to place for a burger with my crew after a massive day where I don’t usually find the time to eat.”

“Mary’s Underground is known for live music, great wine and good times—and it’s underground, which is awesome! What more could you want? Also, it’s the same menu and owners as Mary’s Newtown. When in town, I am always checking the events list to see if there is anything I can check out on a night off with friends.”

“Holey Moley Golf Club is in Kings Cross, which a lot of people don’t realise has a lot of hidden gems, cool little bars, cafés and great restaurants. Holy Moley is a fun, wholesome time, and the aesthetic of the mini golf is actually really cool. I love this spot.”

“Ms.G’s is one of my favourites. It’s really tasty Asian fusion plates in a fresh, decorated space that makes you feel like you’ve been taken to another planet. A great date night spot, and the cocktails are amazing. Anytime I can go here, I will—post-gig hang, day off, pre-show dinner, any excuse really!”

“A nightclub/restaurant dedicated to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, they play iconic hip-hop from the ’90s and serve delicious food. They often have cool themed nights and hold gigs for smaller up-and-coming artists. After a show, if I am not tired and I’m keen to let my hair down somewhere, this is on my list to hit up.”

“You would never expect it, but Zone Bowling is super fun and always quiet, so it’s very easy to get a booking. A go-to spot in Adelaide if I have a day off and some time to kill with the crew.”

“This is a really cool two-storey bar right in the middle of Adelaide. It’s a vibe and has amazing DJs and live bands that play occasionally. Good for a low-key afternoon cocktail with some friends or a bigger night in the city! I’ll definitely hit up this spot pre-show with some friends to get me in a good vibe before a show night.”
