5PM : Treat yourself after your climb with a famous Paciugo gelato sundae from Bar Mariuccia on the Piazzetta; the diet can wait until you get home!

9AM : Enjoy breakfast at Ö Magazín In Spiaggia in Paraggi, after a solitary, or almost, dip in the most beautiful bay along the coast. Of course, breakfast here is Ligurian – simply a cappuccino, a focaccia and basta!

11AM : Pop over to Santa’ for a spot of shopping: fresh fish from Bardi, excellent groceries from Seghezzo, and an onion focaccia from Fiordiponti.

NOON : Sip on a chinotto on the terrrace of the bar at Splendido, just like renowned Hollywood expat Rex Harrison used to.

1PM : Stop for lunch at the Osteria dei Coppelli, the farm-to-table kitchen run by La Portofinese. By reservation only.

3PM : Climb up to Castello Brown to haunt, like some kind of vampire of the silver screen, one of the region’s most unusual castles.

6PM : Take a spin on a gozzo from Giorgio Mussini’s fleet and admire the sunset from the sea with an aperitif in hand.

9PM : Enjoy an intimate dinner at Capo Nord.

11PM : Sail along the coast to Rapallo for one last cocktail at Ö Magazín Al Pörto.

10AM : Return to Portofino along the romantic Passeggiata dei Baci, or “walk of kisses”. For lovers only.
