Less“Yamba is just over an hour’s drive from where I live, so it’s almost a staycation destination for me. It’s a beautiful coastal town with stunning beaches and great food. If you’re up for a surf, the best spot to go is Turners Beach.”
“This park is filled with so many hidden gems and has the Nymboida River flowing through it. You can set up camp in the Nymboida River campground. It’s so beautiful and always a fun spot off-grid to go with the family.”
“I grew up coming to Point Plomer campground, so I have lots of childhood memories here. There is a really long, sandy beach that is great for surfing!”
“This has to be one of the prettiest places to exist. It’s a fairly remote location that is accessed via a dirt road. It’s so beautiful and is a great surfing spot. Going up to the lighthouse is a must because the view is incredible.”
“Sussex Inlet is such a hidden gem. I still think about the poke bowls from the little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the surf club—they’re honestly the best I’ve had in Australia.”
“Eden is on the far south coast of NSW and has the coolest history of killer (orca) whales. There is actually a museum dedicated to it, which is a must-visit.”
“I love bays, especially Tea Tree Bay, and Noosa has so many of them. It’s such a beautiful place to visit for great swimming and good food.”
“This is a local spot for me and it’s great for surfing, sunbaking and spotting dolphins (there are heaps). It also has a really beautiful rainforest you can explore.”
“It’s a cute little coastal town that’s great for camping with the kids, surfing and fishing, and it has a gorgeous general store.”
“You can do a beautiful walk along Korogoro track, which has never-ending coastal views and is full of kangaroos. The track also passes along Korogoro Creek, where you can swim.”
